Acceptance to the Government Competency Certificate requires the following:
- Candidate must be approved by the commission of examinators;
- Candidate must be at least 23 years of age;
- Candidate must have a clean Record of Conduct;
- Candidate must have 2 years practical experience after qualification;
- Candidate must have a B.Sc. degree or a National Diplomain Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
- Candidate must have earned 50% and above for all of his subjects;
- Candidate must be heat tolerant anddeclared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre.
