Good day all at Conscript Africa,
Thanks a lot for what is happening in my life at the moment.
No words can start to describe how fulfilling my life is, I can only say "BIG UPS TO YOU".
I arrived safely at Dammam Airport on Sunday at 03:30 am; took me an hour to pass through the passport area into the International Arrivals where I expected to be met by an Al-Hugayet driver / representative. I waited from 04:30 till 9:00 am for an Al-Hugayet to come and pick me up without anybody showing up. At around 09:00 am, an Al-Hugayet driver showed up with Sanele's name tag. I just told myself that this man is not disappearing off my sight never. Sanele's journey was delayed along the way and the driver took me to the hotel to relax. On Monday Al-Hugayet gave me a big box of koekies as a token of apology and mentioned that there was a misunderstanding about my arrival as they thought I was only going to arrive the following day. Their apology was accepted.
So on Monday we filled some forms at Al-Hugayet offices and went to do the medicals. On Tuesday we got our Saudi Aramco access cards, temporary driver's licences, cash advance and Sanele was also provided with his car and taken to his work place. Myself, tomorrow morning (Wednesday), I'm collecting my car and off I go to my work place, to my new permanent accomodation and to meet my new colleagues and my new boss.
So I'm effectively reporting on duty tomorrow morning.
From my side everything was so quick and professional (except the delay for picking me up at the airport) and we were always kept abreast about the next steps.
